Terms of service
Last updated 26 July 2026. Shopper terms first, vendor terms below.
The agreement
These terms are between you and Nuveta, registered at ‹pending: registered address›. By creating an account or placing an order you accept them. Questions go to support@nuvetahub.com.
What Nuveta is
Nuveta is a marketplace. Independent vendors list and sell their own goods; we provide the shop, take the payment, and arrange delivery. The vendor is the seller of the item. We are responsible for the platform, for handling your money correctly, and for getting the parcel to you.
Your account
- You must be 18 or older, and the details you give us must be accurate.
- Keep your password to yourself; you are responsible for activity on your account.
- One account is either a shopper account or a vendor account, not both.
- We may suspend an account we reasonably believe is being used fraudulently, and we will tell you why.
Orders and prices
- Each vendor's items form their own order. Buying from three vendors creates three orders, each priced, confirmed and delivered separately.
- Prices are in Naira and set by the vendor. The total you see at checkout includes delivery, and that is the amount you pay.
- An order is only accepted once payment succeeds. If an item turns out to be unavailable we will cancel and refund it in full.
- Obvious pricing errors — a figure clearly wrong rather than merely cheap — may be cancelled and refunded rather than honoured.
Delivery
We arrange delivery. The vendor packs your order and hands it to us or our courier, and we deliver it to the address you gave. Delivery is priced by route and shown before you pay. We currently deliver to Lagos and a small number of other cities; if we cannot deliver to your address you will not be able to check out to it.
Cancellations and refunds
- Before we dispatch your order you can cancel it and get a full refund to whatever you paid with.
- Once we have dispatched it cancellation is no longer automatic. Contact us and we will resolve it with the vendor.
- If an item arrives damaged, faulty or materially different from its listing, contact us and we will put it right.
- Refunds go back to the method you paid with, not as store credit, unless you ask otherwise.
Payments
Payments are processed by Paystack. Your card details never reach our servers. Your Nuveta wallet holds funds for buying on Nuveta; it is not a bank account, it earns no interest, and it is not a deposit-taking service.
Behaviour
Do not use Nuveta to break the law, to sell counterfeit goods, to abuse other users or staff, or to attack, scrape or reverse-engineer the service. We may remove listings and suspend accounts that do.
Liability
We are responsible for running the platform, handling your payment correctly, and delivering your parcel. The vendor is responsible for the goods themselves — their description, quality and legality. Nothing here limits any liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
Vendor terms
These apply in addition to everything above if you sell on Nuveta.
Getting approved
- You submit a NIN or a CAC certificate. You do not need a registered business, but the name must match the bank account you want payouts sent to.
- We aim to review applications within two working days.
- We can decline or later withdraw approval — for counterfeit goods, repeated failure to fulfil orders, or false information — and we will tell you why.
Commission
- Our standard commission is 10% of the item value of each order.
- Founding vendors — our first 30 — pay 0% for 12 months from the date they are approved.
- If we change your rate you get at least 60 days' notice, and a change never applies to orders already placed. The rate that applied when an order was taken is the rate charged on it.
- There is no setup fee, no listing fee and no monthly fee.
Getting paid
- Your earnings for an order are the item value less commission. The delivery fee the customer pays is ours, because we arrange and pay for delivery.
- Earnings are held as pending until we dispatch the order. They then become withdrawable at 1am the following morning.
- Withdrawals go to your verified bank account. During our launch period they are processed by hand, within the timings we publish.
- If a customer cancels before dispatch, nothing is deducted from you — the earnings had not settled yet.
Your obligations
- List only goods you have the right to sell, described accurately, at the price shown.
- Pack and hand over orders promptly once you have marked them ready.
- You own your listings and images; you give us permission to display them on Nuveta.
- You are responsible for your own tax.
Ending it
You can close your store at any time. Orders already placed still have to be fulfilled, and any settled earnings remain withdrawable.
